Hip and Gluteal Pain

Hip and Gluteal Pain
Hip pain can develop from sporting activity, prolonged sitting, lifting or gradual strain through the hip joint and surrounding muscles. Many people experience pain around the side of the hip, outer hip pain, glute pain or discomfort that may travel into the groin or upper thigh. In some cases it may become uncomfortable to lie on the affected side or sleep on that hip.
At Flinders Health and Wellness Clinic, our team assess how your hip joint, pelvis and surrounding muscles are functioning to help work with you on identifying possible contributing factors to your symptoms.
Treatment focuses on improving hip movement, reducing muscular tension and helping you return to comfortable daily activities. Our goal is helping you understand why symptoms may be occurring and provide you support to manage your hip pain.
Why People Seek Treatment:
How We Manage:
Treatment is tailored to your sensitivity and underlying drivers of hip pain. This may include techniques aimed at improving hip joint mobility and reducing tension through surrounding muscles.
Care may include dry needling, gentle mobilisation, soft tissue release and practical strategies to help you manage symptoms. We focus on improving hip movement, gluteal muscle function and supporting long-term recovery through education and active management.
Where appropriate, rehabilitation may also involve addressing core stability, fascial tension and movement control around the pelvis and trunk to help support hip function and reduce ongoing strain through the joint.
