Knee Pain
Knee pain is a common problem that can develop from sporting activity, running, lifting, sudden injury or gradual strain through the knee joint and surrounding muscles. Many people experience pain at the front of the knee, discomfort around the kneecap, stiffness with bending or straightening the knee, or swelling following activity.
At Flinders Health and Wellness Clinic, our team assess how your knee joint, hips, ankles and surrounding muscles are functioning to help work with you on identifying possible contributing factors to your symptoms.
Treatment focuses on improving knee movement, reducing muscular tension and supporting stability through the knee and surrounding structures. Our goal is helping you understand why symptoms may be occurring and provide strategies to help manage knee pain and return to comfortable daily activities.
Why People Seek Treatment:
How We Manage:
Treatment is tailored to your sensitivity and the underlying drivers of knee pain or injury. This may include techniques aimed at improving knee joint mobility while reducing tension in surrounding muscles.
Care may include dry needling, gentle mobilisation, soft tissue release and practical strategies to help you manage symptoms. Rehabilitation may also involve strengthening and movement control strategies to support the knee, hips and surrounding muscles.
Where appropriate and with guidance or approval from your treating surgeon, we may also assist with post-operative rehabilitation following certain knee procedures as part of a coordinated recovery plan.
