Fine sterile needles are applied to specific areas based on clinical findings and individual presentation. Dry needling may be incorporated alongside manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation and movement advice as part of an individualised treatment plan.

Headaches and jaw pain are common concerns that may arise from irritation in the neck, jaw joints, surrounding muscles or nerves. Because the jaw (TMJ) and upper neck share close biomechanical and neurological connections, issues in one area can often influence the other. Osteopathic assessment considers the interaction between the jaw, neck, posture and surrounding soft tissues to identify potential contributing factors.

Frequently Asked QuestionS

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No referral is needed! You can book directly with us directly.

For online bookings please tick: book now page

Otherwise we can respond via email (with contact us page below) or feel free to call.

  • Bring any relevant information for your complaint, if you can please wear comfortable and loose clothing so we can properly assess you and let us know if you have any requirements before your appointment (e.g. assistance with entry/ rails etc) so we can ensure your visit runs smoothly.

  • Our appointment duration is available on the online bookings page. We will require a little time to ask questions and gather information from you.

If you have more than one complaint or need more time - just simply book more time (with online booking page) otherwise tell us so we can accommodate your needs.

  • It depends on your condition. Some feel better in just a few sessions, while others need ongoing care for long-term issues. We will discuss this with you according to your complaint, limitations and the expected recovery timeline.

  • Most treatments are gentle and non-invasive. Some of the Orthopedic testing may provoke pain, however we will explain this while performing and ensure you are aware of techniques and manoeuvres which may be pain provoking.

  • We provide care to those seeking assistance directly for a complaint. If you do have complex care needs, have multiple providers or are in recovery from a surgery or medical intervention it is advised you check with your primary care provider first.

  • There is significant over-lap between the conditions we all see as musculoskeletal practitioners. Many of the techniques such as joint mobilisation, traction or soft tissue techniques may be similar to those used within both Physio and Chiropractic clinics.

  • Some techniques can create a clicking or 'cracking' sound, but Osteopathy isn't just about that. We tend to focus on finding the approach which works best for your body and comfort level - many techniques are very gentle and don't involve manipulation at all. If we do think a technique may help, we will discuss and explain first.

However the biggest focus on treatment is getting you moving in general, with a higher focus placed on rehabilitation and supportive care.

  • Private health rebates may be available on the spot with our HICAPs claiming system, however there can be significant variation between policy limits as well as extras. We strongly suggest you check first on whether you are eligible as well as your coverage.

We will need you to check this yourself prior to the appointment, as we cannot check this for you.

  • We conduct thorough assessments, provide diagnosis within our scope of practice, and use evidence-based hands-on techniques – massage, stretching, joint mobilization, manipulation – to help you feel better. We follow clinical guidelines where available and provide tailored exercise programs and self-management strategies.

Osteopaths work as part of your healthcare team, collaborating with GPs, physiotherapists, and specialists. We can provide referrals for imaging, pathology, or specialist review when clinically indicated.

  • Osteopathy is a government-regulated health profession in Australia. Osteopaths complete a minimum 5-year university degree and are registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency), just like physiotherapists, doctors, and other allied health professionals.
